As already said this guide was designed to provide you with the information you require to get started with your saltwater aquarium. All the information has been broken down into an easy to read and understand format so that you do not become confused. In this guide you are not told what to do. The reason for this is that there are multiple ways to do things in this hobby. The best way is to understand the various options which are available to you. Once you understand these options you will be in a position to be able to setup your aquarium which is right for you. Plus you will understand how everything works. This is a guide which you can come back to again and again. Once you have learnt all you need about the equipment, filtration etc you can then plan your aquarium. Once you are ready and have purchased the required items then you can come back to the guide to learn how to put it all together. Once this has done you can again revisit the guide to learn how to choose your fish etc, how to acclimatise them, how to care for them, how to feed them and how to care for and maintain your aquarium. Or you can read it all in one go - up to you really! In the chapters which follow all the details are provided as to what each item in an aquarium does. Explanations are given as to what the items are required for and how you can use them in your aquarium. Once all the items are covered all the relevant information is provided so that you know exactly how you can filter your aquarium. Filtration is at the heart of the aquarium and is something which needs to be covered in detail - hence the reason for its very own section! There are numerous ways in which filtration can be performed and all of them work. The trick is to implement a filtration method which is suitable for your livestock, yourself and your budget. Without knowing how they all work how can you make that decision? By the time you have read all the details about the equipment and filtration then you will be in a position to be able to actually start your aquarium. The next section details how to put everything together. This section is a step by step process which you can follow at your leisure. The sections which follow detail how to purchase your new fish etc, how to care for them and how to care for and maintain your aquarium. Hopefully this guide will answer a lot of the questions you have, however I am also sure that it will bring some new questions with it. If it does you know where we are and how to get in touch with us. |
